Star Aluminium custom fabricates truck access platforms out of lightweight aluminium. This makes them easy to manoeuvre and position while being strong and able to withstand the weather. We are able to construct truck access platforms to suit any truck or working platform requirement such as different heights or unique local conditions.
The provision of sturdy handrails makes access easy and improves safety. Our design includes features such as round tubing for easy grip, no hard corners, and a curved return rail for increased usability. We have built truck loading platforms with extra castors at the centre of the platform. This provides the ability to remove the return handrail and join two platforms together.
Working deck material options include the checker plate or grid mesh for a strong platform that can be worked on safely and securely.
Our standard platform width is 750mm but we are able to provide customised sizes to suit your needs. Regardless of width, you can be sure the unit is secure as each unit is equipped with an anti-tip arm for stability.
Most platforms we produce are between 2m and 14m long, but much longer platforms can also be supplied. Depending on the length, we produce platforms in segments to enable delivery, storage and assembly to be a simple and effective process.
Star Aluminium’s safety screens provide a temporary fall protection system. The product improves staff safety and fulfills Australian OHS requirements. Our safety screens are lightweight, have locking castors, and can easily be brought alongside truck trays – even if space is minimal. The screens are secured to the truck with built-in chains to provide a strong barrier that meets the Australian Standard (AS 1657-1992) for fixed platforms, walkways, stairways and ladders. The screens have been designed to stack together for compact storage when not in use.
All our standard products have a compliance plate in conjunction with engineering certification provided for OH&S compliance. Furthermore a minimum of 3 years manufacturing warranty is provided on all our products. All our products are designed and tested to meet both Australian Manufacturing and Safety Standards. We recommend that all work platforms are inspected monthly to ensure there is no damage from external factors that can cause a safety issue to the user/s and those around. Use of a damaged platform is a hazard. If any damage is found, we recommend that you tag the platform as “out of service”, call us to discuss the required repairs in order to bring the platform back up to code.
